AISI 316H Welded Pipe & ASTM A312 TP 316H Seamless Pipe manufacturer in India
Stainless Steel 316H Pipe products are made from a higher carbon version of the 316 material. it is an austenitic stainless steel with chromium and nickel component. Some variations are also stabilized with titanium for better corrosion resistance against acids. The 316h Seamless Pipe is the most used because of the accuracy in dimensions and usage under elevated temperatures. The higher carbon content provides the pipes with high toughness. However, it might reduce the corrosion resistance properties due to the formation of higher carbide precipitation during welding in the Aisi 316h Welded Pipe applications.
Best price of Alloy 316H Round Pipe & AISI 316H Stainless Steel ERW Pipe in cut to size.
The most used of these are the Alloy 316h Round Pipe types. There are other shapes as well as different sizes. The main advantages of this material made pipes are the higher creep resistance, higher tensile strength, higher yield strength and higher heat resistant due to the high carbon content. The Aisi 316h Stainless Steel Erw Pipe could be used in applications such as the chemical industry, marine applications and in food processing sectors. The Stainless Steel 316h Square Pipe is used in structures where strength is the foremost concerns whereas high temperatures are also involved. Applications such as heat exchangers, boilers, power plants and hot water and steam applications can use the A312 Tp 316h given that the sulfur gases are absent. Our ASTM A312 Tp 316h are of superior quality and Oshwin Overseas always test the products under international standard guidelines. Is 316H Pipe suitable for nuclear and power generation? What is the melting point?
The melting range of 316H is between 1375 to 1400 degrees Celsius. It is a chromium nickel molybdenum alloy that is used for high temperature services. As it is a higher carbon version of 316 material, it also has higher tensile and yield strengths. Due to the high melting range and high strength, the material is used in a variety of high temperature applications such as power generation plants, pulp and paper industries, petroleum refineries and in pharmaceutical processes as well.
The power generation plants could be of nuclear or thermal in the source of energy. Both types use water and steam at different levels of processing the energy created. The heating and cooling systems used different kinds of liquids as well. To circulate these water, steam and liquids, special mechanical properties are needed.
The pipes need to be stronger, corrosion resistant, oxidation resistant, heat resistant and be able to serve continuously under high temperatures. The 316H has exactly those properties. It has a density of 8 grams per cm cube, melting range of 1375 -1400 degrees Celsius, minimum yield strength of 205MPa, minimum tensile strength of 515MPa and hardness at 95 Rockwell B. So the 316H pipe is suitable for nuclear and power generation.
Difference for Low and High Pressure appliactions
- For low pressure condition 316H ERW Pipe can be used
- SS 316H ERW Pipes can be use for high pressure gas transmission if produced using latest ERW/ HFI techniques
